CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was created by experienced health and safety professionals in 1997 to improve health and safety standards across the UK. Their health and safety legislation was created to simplify health and safety contractor assessment by standardising requirements and to allow companies to avoid undergoing health and safety assessments for every job.
CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out.
